About the Product
Does Bucks Balm smell like beef?
No. Properly rendered tallow is nearly odorless, and Bucks Balm is scented only with pure patchouli, cedarwood, and spruce essential oils — a grounded, earthy, woodland scent. No synthetic fragrance.
Will it make my skin greasy?
Not if you use the right amount. Because it's concentrated and water-free, a pea-sized amount is plenty. Warm it between your palms, apply, and give it 60–90 seconds to absorb. If your skin looks shiny after a few minutes, use less next time.
Is tallow safe for the face?
For most people, yes — tallow is non-comedogenic for many skin types because its fatty acid profile is so close to skin's own oils. If you have very oily or severely acne-prone skin, patch test first.
What can I use it on?
Face, hands, knuckles, elbows, knees, heels, beard, lips, post-shave, tattoo aftercare, and any dry or rough patch. One jar handles it all.
How long does one tin last?
Because it's dense and concentrated, a 4oz tin lasts a long time with daily use. A little goes a long way.

Where does the tallow come from?
Exclusively from 100% grass-fed and grass-finished cattle raised on open pasture.
Is it all-natural?
Yes. No petroleum derivatives, parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, artificial colorants, emulsifiers, or preservatives. No water and no GMO ingredients. Eleven ingredients, each with a purpose.
Is it tested on animals?
Never.
Is it vegan?
No — Bucks Balm is built around grass-fed beef tallow and beeswax. That's the whole point: a biocompatible animal fat your skin recognizes.
Storage & Use
How should I store it?
In a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed. It may soften in warm climates, which doesn't affect quality.
What's the shelf life?
About 1 year after opening. Store it cool and dry and it'll keep longer.
It melted in shipping — is it ruined?
No. Tallow softens above room temperature and re-solidifies as it cools. If it arrives soft, set it somewhere cool for a few hours and it will firm back up. The quality is unchanged.
